Sirens

Sirens
They call to me, and I find myself walking.
Following the notes of beautiful songs falling upon my ears.
Trying desperately to find the source.
I find the pier and I can't stop walking,
Listening and falling deeply in love with the voices I hear.
Suddenly you interrupt my vision,
A simple ray of sunshine casting gently upon a life saver.
My light in the dark, my reminder to be safe.
And so, with your reminders to me in mind,
I plug my ears, turn around...
And run.
